チャーチルの演説を引用 ゼレンスキー大統領

■チャーチル首相の演説

演説が上手であることで有名なチャーチル。
”We shall go to the end” 以下の引用部分は、第2次世界大戦中の1940年、
ナチス・ドイツによる攻撃で連合軍が苦境に陥る場面で、
国民を鼓舞するために使われたようです。
実際の肉声と思われる音声がYoutube にありましたが、なかなか聞きづらかったため、
肉声ではありませんが映画の動画から引用です。

“We shall go on the end, we shall fight in France,
We shall fight on the seas and oceans,
we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air,
we shall defend our island whatever the cost may be.
we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds,
we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills;
we shall never surrender!”

■ゼレンスキー大統領の演説 ＠英国議会下院

ロシア侵略開始により、世界中で最も有名な政治家の1人となったウクライナ大統領 ゼレンスキー。
元俳優＆芸人から政治家になったというキャリアもあり、話し方が分かりやすく、大衆を惹きつけるのがとても上手。
ゼレンスキー大統領は約10分間の演説の終盤で、チャーチル首相の上記スピーチを引用しています。
演説だけで軍事侵攻を止めることはできませんが、こうした演説が一人一人に響いて、集団の行動に変化をもたらし、大企業のロシア事業の停止や各国の制裁措置につながっていく、一刻も早い終戦につながることを祈るばかりです。

“We will not give up and we will not lose, we will fight till the end,
we will fight as sea, we will fight in the air.
We will defend our land, whatever the cost.
We will fight in the forests, in the fields, on the shores, in the cities and villages, on the streets, we will fight on the hills.
I want to add personally, we will fight everywhere,
on the terricons(誤記？territory?), on the banks of the Kalmius and Dnieper.
And we will not give up.”
