Q: Agree or disagree: The benefits of AI outweigh its disadvantages

Over the past decade, artificial intelligence (hereinafter, AI) has made rapid advancements and played an integral part in our daily lives. Some people concerned about the possibility that AI will replace human workers, but I think the benefits of AI outweigh its disadvantages for the folllowing three reasons.

Firstly, AI contributes to road traffic safety. AI-equipped autonomous cars can greatly decrease the number of traffic accidents by detecting and avoiding dangers. They are capable of making accurate safety decisions, which will greatly decrease the possibility of traffic fatalities.

Secondly, AI contributes greatly to medicine, which saves human lives. AI provides accurate diagnoses and early detection of patients’ diseases based on a huge amount of medical data. With the help of AI, doctors can treat diseases in their early stages and increase the possibility of saving patients’ lives.

Finally, AI will alleviate the problems with an aging society. For example, AI-equipped robots will help decrease shortage of nursing-care workers by providing elderly people with mobility assistance. They can also serve as companions that relieve the lonelines of elderly people living alone by communicating with them.

In conclusion, for these reasons, contribution to road traffic safety and medicine and alleviation of aging society-related problems, I think that the benefits of AI outweigh its disadvantages.
